Bennett & William Davis, both alums of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America launched Appetite on October 23, 2006. Bennett previously served as pastry chef for Moxie restaurant in Beachwood from 2001-2006 while William traveled the country for eight years, working at different restaurants here in Ohio and across the country learning regional cuisine. Both grew up locally, and after many years of experience brought their talents home to share with friends and family. Breads are baked fresh in house for retail and for the deli sandwiches. The pastries and salads are made fresh daily and all leftovers are donated to a homeless shelter. “ We wanted to give our customer the best quality and that means baking fresh each day, ” says Bennett, the Baker. "Knowing the food is fresh and we serve Fairtrade coffee makes our customers happy to be at Appetite”, says William, the self-proclaimed "deli-lama". The restaurant has a West-Coast feel, using ingredients geared toward the health-conscious. The "Boys of Appetite" have a good time working together. William is the "deli-guy" who turns out outstanding sandwiches on freshly baked breads. Roast beef and corned beef are prepared on premises, and all sides and salads are prepared fresh daily. Bennett is the "baker guy" who is turning out top-notch breads, pastries and desserts including French baguettes which are crisp and chewy, flaky and buttery croissants and awesome desserts. Sandwiched between Mayfield Hts., to the east, and South Euclid, to the west, Appetite is centrally located (Richmond & Mayfield) so that you can easily stop in daily! |
